prior to your visit, there are some things you can do to ensure you have a great experience: - for best results, you should trim your hair to be about 1/8 to 1/4 inch long.
- using a loofah, exfoliate lightly the areas to be waxed, especially if it is a Bikini or Brazilian wax service. it is recommended that you do this the day before your waxing service using your favorite scrub and moisturizer. the waxing products we use are varied and developed for individual needs.
- on the day of your service, clean your skin thoroughly of all lotions and oils.
- steer clear of the sun 24 hours before and after a service. waxing isn't fun with a sunburn!!
- if you are sensitive to pain, take a familiar painkiller 30 to 45 minutes prior to your waxing service.
- some acne fighting medications and age-defying products may stimulate sensitivity. If you have questions, ask your doctor. some redness may last up to 24 hours following your treatment depending on your skin.
after your visit, remember a few last things:- use a loofah in a circular motion to exfoliate and prevent ingrown hairs.
- you can apply a first aid antibiotic cream with pain relief after waxing to reduce irritation.
- after waxing 3 to 4 times, regrowth can often decrease.
- waxing services usually lasts about 4 weeks.
- hair grows in cycles, it may take up to 3 waxing sessions to have all your hair on the same cycle. hair will appear finer and thinner. shaving does affect this cycle.
